MoreHarvest

+47% comprehension across 5 APAC markets

Overview01/

MoreHarvest is a regulated fintech platform that enables accredited investors across 4 APAC markets to invest in Japanese real estate. As the founding designer, I defined the product vision, research practice, and design system for a company with 20 years of property expertise and no existing digital product.

Role

Owned product design, research, and the design system across iOS, Android, and web.

Team

CEO, PM, CTO, engineers, localization partners

The challenge

Navigating complex regulatory requirements like KYC and AML across 5 APAC jurisdictions while delivering an experience that accredited investors could actually understand and trust .

The approach

Every design decision was treated as a testable hypothesis . Compliance was embedded into the experience, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Process03/

Every design decision followed a hypothesis model with a measurable outcome. Problems were first catalogued in a Problem Definition Matrix, a structured audit across stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluation, prototype walkthroughs, and gap analysis.

Reflections04/
  • Challenges1/4

Legal requirements across 5 regulated markets became design constraints. Every research session had to count with limited investor access.

  • Insights2/4

Trust accumulates through proof, not intuition. The research practice was as valuable as the interface design itself.

  • What wasn’t built3/4

The original vision included property tours, hotel stays, and a tiered rewards system. Testing showed zero interest, so we killed it and freed capacity for core flows.

  • What’s next4/4

Iterating on live investor data. Expanding the testing framework to validate real-world performance against our benchmarks.
